Christmas Service 2020

As we can’t do the Christmas Carol Service we had planned for Christmas this year, we would like to put together a Virtual Christmas Service similar to what we did earlier in the year for St Georges Day.

There are a number of things we need you to get involved with, whether you’re a Hedgehog, Beaver, Cub, Scout, Explorer, Network Member, SAS Member, Adult Leaders, Manager or Executive Members.

Join in with our Christmas Carols

Thank you for being involved in the singing part of this year’s Christmas event. In order to make your recording, you will need a device to play the track on, a pair of headphones in order to be able to hear it, and a separate device to make your recording on. Please sing along with the track – but only send us your voice, without recording the backing track as well. The recording should be sound only – no video is required.

All recordings should be sent to music@tynemouthscouts.org.uk by Sunday 13th December

Scouts Own Word Cloud

As part of our Scouts Own and Reflection, we are asking, how would you sum up this year in Scouting? What has scouting provided you with throughout the times of uncertainty?

Please try to sum this up in 3 words (separate words, rather than a short sentence)

Submit your 3 words using this form

Photos and Pictures

Throughout this year, Groups in Tynemouth District have continued Scouting in the most tricky of circumstances – and we’ve all been able to share this through some fantastic photos. From month long camping to Zoom Investitures, Necker passing, St George’s Day celebrations, Toilet roll challenges, Virtual Marra… The list goes on of all of the amazing things that have been achieved, proving that Scouting does not stop.

Please help us build a photo montage of the year by sending some photos or even short video clips from this year to help us celebrate a year of success against all the odds.

It would also be great to have some artwork from any members of the District (regardless of age!) that sum up scouting for you.

Send your photos to photos@tynemouthscouts.org.uk

Thank you for getting involved and for keeping scouting going in Tynemouth.

Look out for more details on our Virtual Christmas Service on Sunday 20th December
