This information is to help adults who have recently volunteered for a leadership role with Tynemouth Scouts. It should guide you through your first steps on your training journey.
Executive Training
All Executive Committee members will need to do Module 1 E (Essential Information for Executive Committee Members). This contains lots of information for new members such as the fundamentals, duties of Executive members, Safeguarding and Safety. The training is being rolled out by the County Training Team this summer and there is also E-Learning.
Once you have completed the learning there are a few questions and an activity you will need to do to validate. This will be validated by your District Commissioner or your District Chairman. Leaders who have already completed module 1 need not complete this training.
