A Simple Christmas Message: Thank You

We have a very simple message for you this Christmas: Thank you.

This isn’t just the end of 2021, but the end of an era; a year where you’ve helped Scouts grow, develop, and reach out to new and different people across Tynemouth, North Shields, Meadow Well, Percy Main, Howdon and Wallsend. A year which sees District Commissioner, Darren Bailey come to the end of his tenure as DC of Tynemouth Scouts after four successful years.

We have had a very busy year in Tynemouth Scouts from lots of district events and activities, group and section night away experiences, action filled meeting nights, new groups opening, welcomed new young people, new adult volunteers and much much more!

We couldn’t be more proud of the work you all do: inspiring and encouraging young people, giving them the skills that will help them speak up and play their part, and become the doers and the dreamers of the future.

As we head into 2022 we will be under the leadership of Peter Thorp (Deputy County Commissioner) as Acting District Commissioner as Michael Wood-Williams (County Commissioner) heads up the search party for the new lead volunteer for Tynemouth Scouts. Peter can be contacted at Peter.thorp@northumberlandscouts.org.uk

Your commitment and care is an example to us all.

Wishing you a peaceful break (if you’re taking one) and a wonderful new year!

Merry Christmas! Here is to whatever 2022 may bring.

Team Tynemouth
