District Centenary Camp

This year we celebrated our centenary in true Scout style by holding a huge camp for the whole District.

It took place at Beanley in Northumberland between the 20th and 24th of July. Some of the photos taken by Michael Dale, the District Press Officer are shown below.

Each evening there was a different event on in the main marquee. On Monday their was a disco, Tuesday was Christmas day in the camp so there was a Christmas party that evening, Wednesday we had a traditional camp fire and on Thursday we hosted Tynemouth's got talent.

While we were enjoying the camp and all the various activities, a lot of people were working very hard in the background to keep everything going.

The Leaders were running most of the bays and some appear on the photos above, but here are a few photos of some of the unsung hero's, unfortunately they weren't all caught on camera but we know who they are.
