Poppy Appeal 2009

On Tuesday 16th March Tynemouth Scouts were presented with a certificate declaring them runners up in the Lord Lieutenant’s annual Poppy appeal competition.

It was presented by Mr Mervyn Lisher, the Royal British Legion local organiser for the annual Poppy appeal, on behalf of the Lord Lieutenant, Nigel Sherlock OBE.

It's presentation means out of all the youth organizations in the Northumberland area, we collected the second highest amount in our poppy tin last year. Well done everyone who donated and took part in the parade last November.
