Gang Behind The Gang
Welcome to The Gang behind The Gang. While the cast have been
rehearsing for the show, there have been a large number of people that
you won't have seen, who have been working away sorting things out to
make the show work. Costumes and Props have to be made or sourced,
scenery needs to be built, backcloths need to be ordered and music needs
to be arranged. The weekend before the show, the 'Get In', a lot of
people spend both days in the theatre getting it ready for the dress
rehearsal. On the Saturday night straight after the show, the backstage
crew start the 'Get Out', while everyone else is partying. This goes on
until the early hours of the morning. Without any of this the show just
wouldn't be the same. So take some time to have a look around this part
of the site and see what goes on.
Please note that photographs here show the Whitley Bay Playhouse, this years show is at the Peoples Theatre, but the jobs are just the same
